June 2nd - 7th -or- Sept. 29th - Oct. 4th • 5 days with Don McEachern
Over 2500 years ago in Bodhgaya, India, the Buddha spread his mat beneath the Bodhi Tree, settled his body, concentrated his mind and looked deeply into the nature of suffering. His profound insight, achieved that night, illuminated the cause of distress in the human mind and its remedy. This remedy, later expressed as The Four Noble Truths, is as relevant and effective today as it was long ago.
In this silent retreat, both novice and experienced meditators will have an opportunity to explore The Four Noble Truths and practice the Buddha’s way. Here one can learn to quiet the mind, release anxiety and fear and open the heart to the truth of the present moment. Instruction and practice in meditation, Dharma talks, discussions of the Buddha’s teachings and individual interviews will be offered.
