Do you know what it feels like to be held by others? When you have been through something intense and disruptive in your life and then to gather with a group of gentle souls who listen intently, who offer the love of understanding and community? The energetics of being vulnerable in a group is not something to shy away from, but to take a deep courageous breath and lean in.

When things fall apart we tend to close ourselves off from the world. We separate ourselves from the group and pull back from that expansive experience. What we need to explore is being bold in our healing journeys. To know that we are humans with courage and hope. And what would it look like if we allowed trust to be apart of that healing process?
There is strength in vulnerability especially when our shared stories and experience can be a doorway or a window for someone else’s path. The inspiration that healing in these sacred community spaces can create is one of empathy, of a deeper understanding of our inter-connectedness with one another, and that we don’t have to be alone in these harder internal places.
We are meant to be together
To be in that space of being held and of holding others we learn and share and collectively heal. We learn how to hold space for others as we hold space for ourselves. Not in sympathy but in a natural state of wholeness. Being able to bounce our stories off of one another can spark pieces of ourselves to come back. Where we were out of balance before we can call ourselves back and be supported in that calling.
Healing takes many shapes but when you are not alone in your suffering you can open your heart to new way of seeing the world. Everyone is different but we all have similar life trajectories and patterns in our stories and speaking out loud and listening just to listen and not offer opinions or advice is a type of group healing. Community that comes together in unconditional love is where our strength lies.
