Monika’s Melt in your Mouth Crumble Recipe


This delightful recipe offers an excellent opportunity to utilize an abundance of summer fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, or any other fruit of your preference. Monika also suggests incorporating plums for an added twist. It is exceptionally delicious, and we sincerely hope you enjoy it!

Cook Time 55 minutes

Ingredients

Crust:

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup cold butter

Streusel:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

Berry Filling:

3 cups berries of your choice (or plums)

2 Tbsp. of flour

2 tsp of grated lemon rind

1/4 cup sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Crust: Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix.
  3. Add cold butter and mix until it resembles a coarse meal
  4. Streusel topping: In a separate bowl combine flour, butter, and brown sugar.
  5. Work with fingers until the flour is absorbed.
  6. Berry filling: In a separate bowl combine berries, flour, grated lemon rind, and sugar.
  7. Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking dish
  8. Pat the flour combo into baking dish
  9. Bake for 20 minutes
  10. Let cool slightly
  11. Add Berry mixture on top
  12. Top with Streusel
  13. Bake again for 35 minutes
  14. Serve with Ice Cream, Whip cream, or fresh berries on top
