Monika’s Young Baked Garlic Recipe

Young Baked Garlic

Serves 4 * 20 minutes


Mmm.. Garlic

Pick your garlic in early June, leaving a pinky and a half of stem. This recipe serves approximately 4 people. There is room for adding more or less garlic depending on how much you love garlic.

Ingredients

  • Young garlic, a few whole cloves
  • Butter, 1 stick
  • Rosemary, 1 tbsp.
  • Salt & Pepper, to flavor
  • Crusty Sourdough, loaf

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. After you pick and leave a pinky and a half of stem, clean and cut off the root
  3. Layer it into a small baking dish, covering the bottom, and layering up from there
  4. Top it with the entire stick of butter
  5. Add salt, pepper, rosemary, and a splash of water
  6. Cover and bake at 350 for 20 minutes, check it
  7. Serve warm with crusty sourdough
